MARKO PANZIC
Marko Panzic continues to be an influential figure in the Australian dance industry, not only through his choreographic and directorial output but also via his efforts in education, mentorship and building infrastructure for commercial dancers (via his company and training programmes). He stands as an example of how a dancer turned creative professional can carve a multi-faceted career: performer ↦ choreographer ↦ creative director ↦ educator.
His work has helped alter perceptions of commercial dance in Australia, emphasising that high-quality performance work and live theatre-style dance experiences are possible in the commercial domain.

Marko’s national profile rose dramatically in 2008 when he competed as a Top 20 finalist on the first season of So You Think You Can Dance Australia.

Marko transitioned into a high-impact role as choreographer and creative director for many major artists and TV shows. Working alongside many of the worlds finest recording Artists including Ricky Martin, Kylie Minogue, Jason Derulo, Jessica Mauboy, Little Mix, Olivia Newton-John, Robin Thicke, Danni Minogue, will.i.am, Geri Halliwell, Vera Blue, Keiynan Lonsdale, Montaigne, DJ Havana Brown, Kelly Rowland, Sheppard, Sam Sparro, Kate Miller Heidki, Delta Goodrem, Electric Fields, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Dami Im, Seal, Joel Madden, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Samantha Jade, Vanessa Amorosi just to name a few.

On the television front, his choreography and performance-production work have been featured on major Australian shows: The Voice Australia, Australia’s Got Talent, Australia’s Next Top Model, The Logie Awards, AACTA Awards, Dance Academy ABC, Sunrise, The Morning Show and the global event Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - 2024.

In 2014, Marko founded The Dream Dance Company — Australia’s first commercial dance company of its kind, aimed at elevating professional commercial dancers and creating live theatre-style dance works in Australia. From the company’s debut show Genesis (2015) through subsequent productions like The Secret Society, Enter The Vortex, A New Era and critically acclaimed production ICON the Dream Dance Company has toured nationally and internationally, blending styles from hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, and commercial theatre.

Marko has travelled extensively across Australia and around the world, sharing his expertise at leading dance conventions and workshops. His teaching credits include HDI Australia, Nexus USA, In10sity Dance Convention USA, KAR USA, Industry Dance Awards and the Ziegler Australian Tour (2017–2018). He has also been a featured educator at Get The Beat across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
